Has anyone seen the May 13th Coinworld which has an article about the PCGS Set Registry? It is on page 64. One interesting quote from the article:
<< <i>A message board at www.pcgs.com devoted solely to Registry Sets is one of the most active newsgroups in the entire online hobby community. >>

Did Not see the Article as Coin World sent a Bill but Forgot the Magazine. Typical I Guess.
They are talking about Type guys. We like to post dozens of threads. You guys just take one thread and beat it to death each week.

I am glad I am not the only one to notice that!
One merc thread..... 60 replys over 10 days. (neat and clean) Merc threads I check the first few replys.... then my eyes glaze over. I see that dame thing getting bigger by the day.... but I am to lazy to look to see what their up too! Whatever it is... it can't be good!
In God We Trust.... all others pay in Gold and Silver!
Any Time I Even think about a Merc the Thought Will Hit the Forumn.
Tell Me Now why in the Heck were there so Many Problems with the Merc Strikes in 1918 and 1925 ? Also the 1924 Planchets were inferior. What was Up with That ? And the Last Question. The 30S is Damn hard to Find but the Pop is Fairly High. Has a Person Hoarded these ?
Thats It for this 10 Minute Stretch. Stay Tuned for More.

I'll go along with the 1918 Merc's as being poorly struck, but the 1925' s aren't so bad, other than a tendency for the "5" in the date to be weak. It seems a lot of the 1924 Merc's have granular planchets; they're tough to find with nice, satiny surfaces. As for the 1930-S, there was a period back around 1991 when someone had obviously submitted an entire roll, possibly two, to PCGS. They appeared in practically every Teletrade auction for a couple of months before being absorbed by the market, sometimes with 5-10 pieces in a single auction. I don't think any of them graded less than MS64. I settled for an MS64 no bands coin, which is in my registry set.
