Barber Half Dollar Varieties...

Anything besides the micro-O worth a hoot?

Rumors abound concerning the 1898-O Micro O Half Dollar.

Seems as if the Dime Punch was used instead of the Half Punch
and although there is a small difference between the two, there
is a difference. No major TPG has authenticated one, yet.

Also, there's reference to an 1892-S Micro S, although none are known, currently.

Inverted Mint Marks for 1909-S are well known, and available.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no over mint marks ( D/O )... etc.

    True....

I once owned the finest known 1911-S/s ( ex: Dale Friend ) PCGS 66, which I recently
sold and it now resides in The Dr. P. Shireman collection.

The 1909-S inverted mint mark isn't super rare, but it's fun to look for.

Oops.. sorry, this one's already been mentioned. image
    When in doubt, don't.

yes, great variety, and listed in Cherry Pickers Guide.

But, hey I am partial, I 'discovered' it.

There is also the 07-S/S. Not sure if it is a recognized variety by the CPG since I do not have one. They seem quite common though.

Yes, the 07-S/s was quite a hit when mine sold in Chicago back in 2011.
