First Images/Breaks of Rare UD Infinite Series I Golf, Basketball, & Football

Got my packs from UD Inifinte Series 1. I think these are the first pictures/breaks posted. Below is the first publication of the auto list.

These are the cards you earn as you use the battery-powered ePlate credit card http://www.dynamicsinc.com/upperdeck

As some of you know, I am the founder/CEO of Dynamics and a longtime collector. I used to write the vintage basketball column for Beckett and ran sportscards.info.

To get a pack in a sport, you have to collect a digital set of 250 cards for that sport and then you can redeem the set for a pack. You can trade the digital cards with other collectors.

You get a random digital card for every $10 you spend using the card. Autographed cards are randomly inserted (see auto list below, first time it has been disclosed). The cards are on a thick, premium stock (see in the video). 5 cards in a pack. They fit snugly in the 75pt top-holders.

My biggest surprise was the Rory McIllroy unsigned and signed cards in the golf packs. I think this is the first official auto Rory card to be introduced.

So for every 10 dollars you put on this credit card you get a picture of a pro athlete emailed to you? Then once you spend $2500 and have 250 of these pictures you can trade that in for 5 actual cards? Based on 10% kickback for credit card use, that would mean you "paid" $50 for each of those cards. What's the autograph insert rate?

Don't forget the credit card has a annual fee of $99.

Check out dynamicsinc.com. Their is a fee and a no-fee version. You will see that you spend $10 on purchases for a digital card for the no-fee version of ePlate. So, if you go to the movies, you will instantly get a few digital cards within a few seconds of making the purchase. For the fee card, you would spend $5 on purchases for a digital card. So, you can instantly collect just by living your life. The product is a premium product. I believe the stock is more like an Ultimate stock, only with a lot of gold foil on the face. On the fee card, you would spend $1,250 on groceries, rent, electronics, and get 250 digital cards. You can trade these with friends using the online trading system. For every digital set, you get an exclusive premium pack of UD cards available nowhere else.

UD just reported on their site this is the second officially licensed Rory McIlroy card. And, I believe the first autographed Rory McIlroy card ever released. I will be uploading some pictures when I get them.

You didn't need to map out the different things you can buy with a credit card to earn these pictures. I get that. I just don't think this is interesting at all.

It is very cool making a purchase and then having your phone buzz with a reward. Typically, you get your rewards 30 days after the fact at your statement. The system has a large number of rewards that you can change at any time. Just today, a 1% cashback option was added to the no-fee card where you can get multipliers when you redeem. So, you can get 20x cashback when you redeem (e.g., $25 is redeemed and you end up getting $500). Check out all the different rewards (UD is just one) on the site. Skip Barber is a high value reward. Spend $2,500 and get a $700 racing lesson (a 28% reward). Very cool when you try it. If you are going to the next national, give me a ping and I'll show you how the system works.

So this is a credit card issued by Upper Deck? Well, I suppose it's another way for UD to stay in business.

Could this thing be any more complicated? I have an MBA and drive a Dodge Stratus and I can't figure out how this works.

I'll stick with buying a pack of cards and a slurpee at the local 7-Eleven on occasion.
Kiss me once, shame on you.
    Kiss me twice.....let's party.
