Dumb, dumb dumb...
There are still a lot of nuggets missing from the display but I worried more about the missing box, which was inlaid with gold-bearing quartz, just being melted down.
Hopefully the rest of the missing objects can be recovered.
This kind of thing REALLY gets my goat. You used to be able to go to a museum in Florida and hold a Atocha bar until some punks broke the display case and made off with that.
