I have a card from FightforolDC's #1 all time Pro Football HOF registry. It says it on the flip. I paid a premium for it because I wanted a card from the best set ever collected. I also have cards from Dave, Joe Squiers and Jasp24 but they don't have the flip. I have cards from the top sets of all time but who am I to say they really were theirs without the flip.
Love that card and would buy another if I had the chance and the $$$$$
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. As is the case with many CU thread these days, this one has taken a few unexpected turns. Even though a lot of good people have left the boards, there is still a healthy level of humor remaining. Marc (foo), your comeback was priceless. +1,000,000,000 (vehemently shilled non-transparent style).
I don't honestly know what knocked it down. The actual cards is many times smaller than the posted picture, so you can imagine in hand it's hard to find many defects. I haven't looked at it 10x magnified, but I will. Regardless, it's a beautiful card and one I am proud to have in my collection.
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Amazing card. Looks more like a 9-10 . Those print smudes which you cant ever get away from from those issues might be what made the grader give it the 8.5?? A slight print defect if you can call it that for a 100+ year old issue. Hands down it looks better than the grade. Mint in my eyes.
Well Im wrong. The PSA 10 has the print as well. Guess they couldnt just give them all 10s is my quess. wagner 10
It's amazing some of the responses to this thread. I wonder to myself why people can't just enjoy another person's cards irrespective of grade, etc., rather than add their own commentary. This is a collectors forum, enjoy the cards/memorabilia and lets kill the negativity.

Matt, Matt, Matt . . . It is a given that the "experts" on a small segment of the hobby feel the necessity to attempt to demonstrate their overall knowledge of things that they neither understand nor comprehend. It is better to be silent and thought the fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt. It isn't going to change no matter how often they put their foot in their mouths. It has only taken me a decade or so to figure that out...
Despite the critical commentary (albeit, mostly uninformed and generally misguided), it does not detract from the beauty and elegance of the card that Dan purchased. And that, when all is said and done, is the most important take-away from this thread.

Congrats on the very important and impressive card; must be one of the biggest cards one of us has ever posted. A real beauty, no matter what the flip says. 8, 9, 8.5, doesn't matter-- the card inside the holder is bright and sharp.
