Miscut help please..

there is a 1975 topps mini mike schmidt psa 8 listed on ebay that appears to have part of another card on top or at least another color (yellow). Wouldn't this be considered a miscut? If not someone please explain to me the differences. Thanks in advance.

Work hard and you will succeed!!

Good catch! Unbelievable that PSA would miss this considering how closely they look at this year.

From the MC def: Cards that exhibit an atypical cut for the issue or ones that contain partial portions of more than one card will be designated "MC."

I can only guess for this set it's not considered atypical. Also from that pic, it's hard to tell if it's slightly diamond-cut or just a weird angle you're seeing the top edge from.

Another PSA8 (no qualifier) Schmidt example, sold item #111030727947, with obvious yellow on top border.

Very common for that card to have yellow at the top. PSA doesn't treat it as miscut.

Same as 62 Mays with black line (or white).

    +1

The green yellow minis were one of the two color combos cut short at the factory and it is not uncommon to see a yellow strip across the top of these cards. As Mike stated, PSA does not consider that anomaly to be miscut, which is correct for this issue, imo.
