Collectors Corner order problem

tradedollarnuttradedollarnut Posts: 20,199 ✭✭✭✭✭
I ordered some modern dollars for my dollar type set through collectors corner but have never received a confirmation of my order from the dealer. I just went there to see if theres an 'orders' page where I can track it, but there isn't. Has anyone else ever placed an order there? If so, how did the actual sale go down?

I haven't but wonder if there is a phone number?

It's a bit old fashioned I know. image

I've purchased several coins from there, but by just using it to view inventory - taking the dealer's phone number + email address and contacting them directly.

I search collectors corner and then contact the dealer individually so I have had no problems verifying the coin was in inventory, etc.

Problem is I'm uncertain of the dealer's name or the specific coins I ordered (moderns - gah!). I was hoping there would be a record of my order somewhere.

I was thinking it might have been Rettew, but their number has been disconnected and I don't see their listings any more.

perhaps you can track the payment by calling the credit card company?

if ordered on computer, perhaps your browser has it in the history

Hasn't been paid yet - but I just found the confirmation email in my spam folder. Perhaps it also went to the dealer's spam folder. I will contact them direct (it was Rettew - but a different # than I found online).

While you checking out your computer, you might want to see who hacked into your PCGS forum account. Someone has been using your tradedollarnut ID to discuss moderns, and even to look for them on the BSTimage

I tried to buy a few items from them awhile back on there. They seem to list them and forget they listed them and I was only able to get about half of the items I ordered as they had sold them elsewhere. If you have a number phone them direct might speed things up. If I remember right they were at FUN for the week I happened to order so being at a show don't seem to leave anyone at home to tend to online orders.
BTW I have found Collectors Corner listings and response is all about the dealer putting up the listing. My last order though CC was with H. J. Berk and the response to placing the order online was a phone call in about five minutes to confirm the order and set up payment.
BTW I was a first time customer with them and they sent me the coin on approval to pay when I got and confirmed I liked it.image

I've ordered from Joel in the past off of collectors corner and always received an email confirmation.

My question is "What in the heck is TradeDollarNut doing ordering modern dollars??"

    Wud you order Bruce?? image

I sell through Collectors Corner and usually after placing an order, I email buyer offering method of payment. The transaction itself does not go through Collector Corner.

I like the sound of this one:

I've bought a few pieces from them in the past and been pleased with the quality/service. Their store token is hard to beat too. image

Yes, I have on more than one occasion experienced that a request to buy something was ignored, missed or otherwise not acted upon.
