Only one Bo Jackson ever submitted, graded PSA 8. Several George Brett. Curious that they say N/A for George Brett's card number although it's clearly listed as #5 on the front of the card. Even on the PSA grading placard. Look...

Wonder why this has not been submitted very many times. I picked up a few sets and the Bo and Brett look GEM in almost every set.

Ahh, so that's where all those sets went - LOL! I've got three sets of these and they are just about perfect except the centering is off to one side. The seller for mine was in MO so I think they may be more available locally, similar to other sets that had a regional distribution. If you sub and get a 10, PM as I'd be an interested party.
Last night I came across what I think may be a very tough to find Bo Jackson. 1990 Pro Set unreleased Superbowl card. Anyone ever seen one of these? Apparently produced in advance of the Superbowl XXV which the Raiders didn't make.

Maybe not that hard to find or I got lucky - found someone who may have an unopened pack of these, waiting to hear back from them.
Both of the 8's are probably in collections that are not for sale and most likely these were either personally submitted, private sales or the sales are no longer recent enough to be relevant. There is no way to know what they'd sell for. We'd have to wait for an auction to see...

I know mine was the first Bo Jackson BP graded and that was around 6 months ago, also the second 8 was graded a couple months ago. The PSA 5 is the first PSA graded example up for auction.
Felt like these belong in this thread. Very challenging card to find. 3 of each total population in any grade, no gems. These three will make 4 of each when graded.
Don't know anything about the rare cards, but my favorite Bo jackson card comes from Upperdecks 1st football set, which to this day is still the one of the most beautifully photographed and designed football card sets of the modern era.
<< <i>For baseball (playing days only), his lowest stated print-run card is the 1993 Finest Refractor at 241 and some of the toughest are the 1986 Donruss Highlights White Letter Variation, 1989 Topps Heads Up Test, 1990 Donruss Aqueous Test cards, 1990 Donruss Preview, 1991 Topps Desert Shield, 1993 Finest Jumbo, 1994 Pinnacle Artist's Proof and the 1994 SP Holoview Die Cut. >>
I was going to mention the '89 Heads Up and '90 Aqueous cards, but you beat me to it. I'm glad I read your whole post though, because I had never heard of the '86 Donruss White Letter variations. I just looked them up in the Standard Catalog. Interesting.
Thanks to cree for starting this thread, sportscardtheory and Bob for highlighting this variation. I've been chasing this particular card since 7/2013. I was back and forth with the seller and nearly had the card raw but they reneged and gave me the runaround for several months. He later auctioned the card and gave me a heads-up (shilled, in my opinion) and then came to me for a second chance offer which I declined. Tonight I picked up a copy in PSA 9 from PWCC auctions that I believe is the exact same card pictured in June '13 in this thread after it was graded. I saw it come up for auction not long ago and decided not to bid after seeing the other collector's previous bids on other Bo items. So, it took a brief detour into a special collection for about a month or two. Not sure why this went back up for sale but I decided it was time to have it. The last month or so has been a windfall of tough to find Bo cards. And while I've had to pay to land this card, I am truly happy to have filled this slot in the registry.
Here is an error variation of of the 1990 Fleer Kirby Puckett/Bo Jackson Human Dynamos #635 The error is on the back of the card on the bottom right corner where printed in the U.S.A. is located. The picture on the left is the error you will notice the the U.S.A. is missing the . after the A
It is probably not all that rare but I thought I would add it to this thread.

Good looking card Chris. What's your guess on the grade?
I have one of these on the way in the mail as well, hoping for a good example of Bo.
