What is your "process" when you open boxes that have cards you specifically plan to send i

I don't rip very much(other than cheaper modern or junk), but I am going to have an opportunity soon for a box of more expensive card, which I will probably grade the "better" ones. Do you use a method or just rip and then topload? image

  • I actually treat it like a sacred moment. I clean the table. Light a candle. Set the mood. Get the supplies near by so it gets right into a penny sleeve and rigid holder.

Lately I have been in the practice to put everything in penny sleeves. The good the bad and the ugly. Unless its junk wax, I will promptly throw the pack away and penny sleeve what I like. If it looks grazeable, then I will add the rigid holder.

Especially when you're selling the box, wrappers, and gum (DON'T EAT).
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
  • Personally, I like to put on a pair of camo shorts before I get to rippin'.

Unless it's something really classy, like some 88 Donruss. Then it's black mini-dress time!
  • To have lots and lots of fun!!!
Been collecting on and off from 1982. Football is my favorite, although, I do like baseball. Always looking for 1984 Topps and 1989 Score Football PSA 10's.
  • I shave my entire body, wash in a diluted bleach solution, and break it nekked.

Getting ready to start up some Ustream breaks if anyone is interested.

I clean the table that I'm breaking on. I put on my favorite movie, prepare with scissors, semi rigids and video camera.

Wearing blue gloves to open cards is awfully creepy in that "It scores many PSA tens to win, or else it sells the gum again" way. image
