4SC- My experience thus far, let's see how they do UPDATED

I placed a rather expensive order on 4Sharpcorners website for myself about a week ago. The package was received and I'm missing 4 cards from the order. On the invoice it listed a quantity of '5' so whomever packed it made an error and only packaged one. I have already emailed them replying to both the invoice and shipping info and also called them and left a message. I did a quick search and have seen more negative things about 4SC so I thought I'd post my experience and see how they respond to the problem, good or bad. I'll update the thread as things happen.

Edited to add: The order was for only 9 cards total. The value of each missing card is about $50.(Yes, that's expensive for me)

    I've ordered many a card from 4SC and any problems have been ordered quickly, efficiently, and with courtesy. Rest assured you'll be taken care of.

    I have spent thousands and have bought hundreds from 4SC (almost my entire Kellogg's collection was purchased from them over two years). I had one issue that was taken care before I knew it in the form of a refund for a card I didn't receive because they couldn't find it. They are big and deal in huge volumes so things are gonna happen. Give them time, they will make it right.

  • I've bought over a thousand cards from them. They have screwed up three times but refunded my money twice because when they couldn't find the card. The third time, they totally blew me off. I was under the impression that I was a pretty good customer but that didn't seem to matter. It was over a $60 item which was peanuts compared to what I had spent with them but they stuck to their guns and I never received a refund. If you buy from their website, you don't have the same protection as through ebay.

    I still buy from them occasionally but way less than what I used to.

    I paid through Paypal, I know I cant leave a negative but I should be able to escalate to a claim. It's the weekend so I dont expect to hear from them until Monday, hopefully.

    So I received an email from them this morning and they admitted to the error, sent the rest of my order Priority Mail with tracking and stated they will take corrective action to alleviate future issues. It was handled in a timely manner and corrected quickly. Fantastic customer service!

    Good to hear.

    I bought a bunch from their website and had 1 problem which was resolved rather quickly. I bought a base card for a set I'm working on, and they sent me a chrome by mistake. I sent it back, and they sent the right card.

    They also 1 time mailed me 2 very expensive boxing cards by mistake, and I sent them right back. They sent me $10 in my PP acct. for my troubles.

    I've bought a lot of cards off them also and had a few mistakes that they corrected in a very timely manor.

    I had one wrong card in the order I got last friday. I called them, they pulled the card I was supposed to have, mailed it to me (I got it today) and asked me to send them the one I got by mistake in the prepaid bubble mailer they sent along, which I did this afternoon.

    This isn't to bash 4SC, it's more of generally speaking about Sellers, but describing their service as "fantastic" seems kinda odd. Have our expectations really fallen that low? Shouldn't "fantastic" be reserved for when a Seller gets an order right the first time?


    Glad to hear they acknowledged their error and will send the cards you paid for.

    edited to add: I've never had a shipping problem with 4SC and have always been satisfied with their service.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Actually I received the other 4 cards recently, however, there was another order for 12 cards that hasn't been received yet. The young lady I spoke to on the phone is helping me figure that one out now. This makes me believe their website compared to eBay
    is a bit behind in efficiency. I'm in no hurry to receive them so they have time on their side.
