Tracking My May Special 1950's Baseball Sub - POPPAGE

I've always wanted to actually document the process of a sub so here goes.

Followed all the rules so we'll see.

These are all from a recent pickup. Hoping for 7s across the board.

Obviously disappointed as I had hoped the breakdown would be closer to 9 < 7, 30 7s 5 > 7.

I spent about 5 hours pouring over thousands of singles and pulled everything I thought were 7s. I missed terribly on the Nellie Fox and am shocked on the EOTs. These were from a very old collection that hadn't been touched in 40+ years. I'll probably resub them.

These were purchased 100% for resale, and I'm going to take a bath on them. I'll be lucky to get back 80% of my money on them so what went from a fun way to make a few bucks will probably end up costing me a a couple hundred dollars. So disappointing

My thought is that this should be a quick popping sub as the are all similar year wise. Do you have a few before scans of them? If so i'd be nice to see 3-4 a day posted before grading just to see if your 7's across the board is hopeful, feasable, or understated. I just think it wold be cool to speculate as a group.

Similar year has nothing to do with it. A had a 45 day sub earlier this year take 55 days. All cards were the same year and company.

Kicking myself for not scanning these after reading your comment. This would have been a fun thread. I will scan them all when they come back, but kind of feeling dumb for not doing it before. *Next Time*

All 50's Topps... I'm guessing you'll have poppage in 10 business days or less.

I sent in 2 submissions on the March special that logged the same day. One was an All 1956 Topps sub on the 45 day special... popped on Business Day #5. The other was a mix of 1956 Topps baseball and Favre cards for my registry set(s)... still waiting for poppage, now on Business Day #40

I sent them a package like yours mine was delivered on the 24th and they logged it in on june 7th. Mine are all 57s . So your in my boat but ahead and Im curious about these results , poppage time, and grades.

Yep, bummer, but there are now some really nice looking cards in PSA flips. I'll get them scanned and over to the BST forum this weekend. May not have made me money, but hopefully, it'll help someone fill a set or grab a player they need.
