I cleared the morning to go. Hoping to see a dealer or two that I haven't seen at every Frank and Sons, Glendale or Hollywood Park show since 2001. Fingers crossed.

If I remember, I'll wear an Augusta National hat. Say hello!

I want to go so bad. Funds are low and I've got a dentist appointment with the wife in Hollywood at 12:30PM.
    Have fun everyone. Report back.

I might go, coming from North Orange County after lunch. Is it worth it?
If I go, I'll be wearing a Clemente jersey with two small boys in tow.

Vito, are there a lot of hockey dealers there? I'm begging my wife.

Looks like I won't be making it today. I'll be appropriating those funds that I may have spent today on possibly positioning myself toward being a winner at the REA auction. Tough timing...

Just got home. One guy had hockey cards. No modern. There was some 65-74 hockey I was eyeing but didn't pull the trigger. Almost a bought a 65 Howe.

My biggest shock was there wasn't one dealer with boxes of all the latest and greatest. I don't care because it's not my thing - but shows were always the place where impulse rippers can't control themselves!

I really just need to get to the national if I ever hope to complete some of my signed sets. Local shows never feature that stuff. There WAS a nice Larry Doby RC that PRP had but it's also listed on eBay for $1200 so I didn't even inquire.

I went to the show with my boys.
I thought all the vendors were very nice, everyone seemed to want to talk and to show off their material.
I didn't buy much, I was too busy keeping my boys from touching everything and begging to go to the park that was next door.
In the future, I'll only bring the older one.
I am happy I went, and I will go again in the future.

On behalf of Adam, Jason and myself, thank you to everyone that came out for the show yesterday. The crowd was really consistent the entire day and the dealers I spoke with all seemed very happy with their sales. It was great to meet a few board members, and it was especially great to see so many kids at a show.
We're definitely having another in the fall, and have some ideas to make it even more fun.

Wow, great time. It was a really good turnout, saw a lot of people I know. I even dipped my toe in the rack pack department. Got two 85 Fleer racks (one with a Puckett showing) and two 85 Topps grocery racks (one with a Puckett showing) for $18 combined. That same dealer had a bunch of other racks ranging from 1978-1985, most with stars showing, and they were all pretty cheap. I can't wait for the show in the fall.
