Concur with keeping them together if you can. Cant do much about what goes on at ther graders except ask for a regrade.

I am going to guess that these two coins were both changed at the Quality Control stage. This would
have been by an experienced numismatist. However, the person fixing the labels would not be, and
they simply got switched. Yes, someone should have caught it, but they didn't.

Give PCGS the opportunity to correct the mistakes, and hope that YOUR next mistake does not get plastered
all over someone's message board. Not a firing situation, just a humorous one.

<< <i>While this is certainly amusing, it's also scary. For example, consider two 1892-O Morgans submitted together, assigned grades of 64 and 65, and then slabbed as 65 and 64. >>

    I dunno, sounds like a wash... >>

Not when one coin is deserving of the 65 and the other is deserving of the 64. The 64'd coin gets in a mechanical error 65 holder and the 65 coin gets a 64 holder and is sent back for regrading, then there's potentially 2-65's in holders now. A big jump in price. Not good for the person who bought the 64 coin in the 65 holder. >>

What part of "image" was unclear?

At least your coins were shipped back to you - could have been worse and sent to China.

I would call immediately and arrange for a return and some freebies. This does nothing to help with the PCGS goodwill.

After seeing two sets of mixed up labels in new holders in one thread I would have to say...
    Positive BST transactions:michaeldixon,nibanny,
    type2,CCHunter.

You should post these pictures in several places to see if the Chinese start putting fake Pine Trees in fake Norse holders or vice versa.

One looks overgraded while the other looks undergraded.
