OT - USPS routing???

Just sold something through eBay that I shipped media mail. Going from Maryland to Pennsylvania. When I looked at the tracking, it says it's currently in a sort facility in Greensboro, NC. Is this standard practice? Something like this could explain why USPS is running in so much red ink.

    Not sure if it's normal, but I've seen a mistake happen with one of the packages sent my way in AZ that showed 'Out for Delivery' in Salt Lake City before being rerouted correctly. Sounds like an error, but it should eventually get there.

    I've sent quite a few media mail packages in the last 6 months. If I remember correctly, every single one of them went through Greensboro, NC. I also live in Maryland, and it didn't matter if it was going to New England, or the West Coast, it still went through Greensboro.

    I don't know why, but after the first few I quit panicking and figured it was standard procedure.
