Found this in change today. Looks like a 1943S steel. I find wheat cents from time to time, but never a steel one.

    Now if it had been copper, then it would have been precious!!!

    I found a steel cent with my metal detector but you only just make out the outline of Lincoln through the heavy rust!

    ive found them with my metal detector as well. it went into the trash bin image

    I've found 2 of them in the coinstar machines locally. That's kind of cool, because I never thought I'd be able to find them with a metal detector--since they're steel and I rarely dig iron signals, and since they rust.
