OT: Prayers needed for mom

Please feel free to delete if this is off topic. I posted this on another sportscard forum, but since I've joined CU for over ten years, I wanted to post here as well (as you can see, I am more of a reader, than a poster
). These last couple months has been the roughest of my life, and CU and this other sportscard forum has helped me cope (I just love reading about cards - it helps sooth my soul and keeps me from breaking down). Eventhough I don't know/met board members here, I definitely recognize the handles and for some strange reason, I feel comfort when I see familiar names.
Sorry for babbling, in any case (copy/paste from the other forum I posted on)...
My mom has been battling stage 4 colon cancer for almost a year. She's gone through surgery to remove tumors, chemo last 6 months. She's going back in this week for a follow up CT Scan. To say this past year has been stressful is an understatement. I'm in my 30s, so being this old I guess helps a little on how I'm dealing with this ordeal, but my mom is only 57 yo...so it's never easy.
I started coming back to this site and buying cards earlier this year to help me cope. Unfortunately, the medical bills are starting to get racked up (no medical insurance) so I've been selling most of my cards on eBay. I will be adding more as I find time.
I also created this page (givefoward.com), so feel free to just leave a message and/or any small donation will be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading.
PS...feel free to CMB and make offer if you see any cards you like.

UPDATE 5/16: Mom hasn't been eating for over a week, just receiving nutrients via IV. Pain has gotten more intense and more frequent. Doctors have her on 'dilaudid' (sp) to manage the pain, this basically puts her in a drugged up state due to the dosages. There doesn't seem to be much else the doctors can do.

Please know that mom, your family and you will be in my prayers. Take a look at my signature line and you will realize that I understand what you are going thru. GOD bless.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I am also acutely aware of what you are going through. An aunt that I have been very close too is in her last days battling cancer. It sucks, it's sad, and frustrating as all hell. Stay strong and I will keep your mother in my prayers.
