New Orleans Proof ASE's

Just like clockwork during the Reagan/Bush years there were S-Proofs. During the Clinton years there were P-Proofs. And during the GW years, the W-Proofs.

I would've thought (wishful) in the aftermath of Katrina and with the Community Reinvestment Act of 2009 that the New Orleans Mint would've been restored to produce O-Proof ASE's. Think of it: 2009-O, 2010-O, 2011-O, 2012-O, 2013-O...proof ASE's.

Only if those supposed ASEs were proof Morgan Dollars ... or perhaps some reverse proof Indian Head Quarter and Half Eagles ... minted to orginal specifications ...

Why spend money to reopen the NOLA Mint for those when we already import them from China.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some "D" mint ASEs in the next few years.
