Stacks Tonight Vermont Ryder 10 NewP. This is how Fine 12 can be PQ+++

ALL Vermont Coppers are Different. You will Never find two exactly alike...and though the rustic flawed planchet is appealing in many cases, and is in fact nearly standard for a few varieties...some are FAR nicer than others. The closer a Vermont Copper comes to looking like an ordinary coin...the sweeter it becomes. The Rupert Mint coins were a miracle in that they even were made under those primitive conditions. They couldn't even bring up the raw metal hot enough to drive out impurities. Planchet stock was morbid. BUT... Every so often, that little disc is copper was smooth and without flaws...the dies were centered, the strike was full. The coin was gently circulated, and managed to stay above ground. Having passed through generations and still going strong, 1786 Vermont Ryder 10.
