Does This Holder Look Ok?

I pick this card up a few months ago, and i just looked at it again, and every time I do I wonder about the holder. Does it look ok? Theres a good bit of frosting on the top part. I guess I am most worried about the frosting at the sides right below the flip. Is that something to be worried about? Just looking for some input.
Thanks

I've had slabs come right off the press into my hand at PSA look like that. Best way to deal with it when it's bothersome is just reholder-- they'll tell you if it's a problem. Also, try gently "twisting" the slab with a grip on top and bottom-- if it pops open you can tell it was resealed with some adhesive. Ultimately, though, the card looks the grade. Lastly, I can tell you that the type of frosting that is a certain sign of tampering is usually across an entire side of the slab, as opposed to patches.

Looks fine to me. Plug in the serial number into the registry if you are unsure

  • It's fine. Just a little banged up.

Thanks for the input guys. The only reason i asked is because I've heard frosting near those circles at the base of the flip can mean possible tampering. I just want to make sure.

It's good, and a nice scan too. Not trying to hide anything there.

This is what a cracked slab looks like, it can be done more neatly, but you'll get the idea. Left edge on Berry, right on Tallon.

What eye appeal for a 6! Presents like an 8 at first blush.

A PSA 6 Palmer is a $40 card. There is your answer. The creeps who do mess with holders shoot a lot higher than that.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Nice '6'. I thought it was an '8' as well. Had to do a double take. Bottom right corner looks like it got flipped up a bit......nice card!

That's a nice card, but I think the slab has been messed with. Someone took an 7.5 or 8 and put it in a 6 holder. Careful out there fellas!
