1978 Topps John Wockenfuss

I recently busted into some 1978 racks and vending boxes I had for quite a while. I came across several #723 John Wockenfuss cards, but also pulled a Wockenfuss that just had it as a #3. Couldn't find any info on it. Is that a common error that's not recognized by PSA?
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

<< <i>The #3 card is a Burger King card. Not sure what it was doing in a Topps rack or vending box! >>
Rut-roh!
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
<< <i>My guess is the #3 came from the vending >>
I put the cards that I pulled into two different boxes, one for the racks and one for the vending box. I'm 99% sure it came from the vending box. Yes, sounds like trouble but the box it came from was one of the nicest vending runs I've seen. Two 1978 vending boxes: box #1 exceptionally well centered and plenty of NM/MT or MINT cards. Box #2, three cards better than 55/45 centering, dinged corners, pretty disappointing. I've been sitting on these since the late 80's or early 90's, doubt they were ever gone through before I got them.

<< <i>Never heard of Topps Co. messing up vending with Burger King cards in 78 or 79. ..but I guess anything is possible since we have seen star wars come in baseball packs, baseball in football, baseball in hockey, and so on. >>
I once got a Greg Maddux jersey card in a football pack. The crazy thing? The card was from a completely different company than the pack.

Is it at all possible that you sorted some 78s you already had into the mix?
