Heritage auction lot picture change today

Heritage made a change today in their Closer Look pictures. It now shows a tiny picture of the front of the slab in the upper left corner of the screen, with the back of the slab shown to its right. On my computer, all I can see is the upper left corner of the slab, cannot see any part of the coin. There is no room to scroll anywhere. As it is now, I cannot use Closer Look at all.

omg! i love it!
tx for the heads-up.
can't wait for them to work the bugs out. can't use the mouse scroll feature as of yet on my win7 pc with ff 7 or ie 9. - need to use the left mouse to move down the image but the entire images can be viewed.

<< <i>I have a Logitech multi-button mouse, but it goes nowhere with the new Heritage pictures. >>
try to click the left mouse button on the image and while you have the mouse button pressed, move the mouse up or side to side.
when you move your cursor over the image it should change from an arrow, or whatever your default is, to a hand, indicating a "grab" feature, permitting you to move the image around.

This does work for me, but why all the extra work required by Heritage? Thank you for this bit of help. At least now I can view the pictures. Things were so simple before Heritage changed things, without warning.

ebay has done something similar, FINALLY. when you are scrolling down the active listings, the zoom feature has been added and seems to work really well. it will significantly cut down on the amount of time i (we) have to spend clicking on the listing when the one image may tell me (us) what i (we) want to know, for better or worse.
the good thing about the heritage feature is once it is fixed, that is presuming they want us to be able to scroll again, that we really won't notice the difference of that little image box in the top left since it won't cover any part of the coin or slab except the time it saves clicking back to the main listing to pull up the other image(s). another huge time saver for me (us) that click on a lot of the large images in one sitting.

I love it. Finally just like picture viewers on my computer. I hate those slider bars! GREAT JOB HERITAGE!

Same here, Mozin. When I click the bottom images to get a new window with the very large ones it only shows the top third of the slab or so and it is not possible to scroll down.
Funny thing is, if you watch closely you will see the entire slab image displayed as it is being loaded. But when the download is complete it freezes to an image of just the partial slab.
Obviously a software bug and I'm certain it will be fixed.

This is correct. So basically scrolling in the normal fashion is broken. But you can click and drag. Good catch!
Lance.
We are also adding (1) a tooltip to explain this, and (2) an opt-out feature that will let you revert to the version of the page with scrollbars.

<< <i>The idea is to be able to click and drag only. Scrolling was supposed to be eliminated entirely, but on certain browsers the scrollbar appears. This is being fixed.

How about keeping the little pictures to click in the upper left corner ---- AND allowing scrolling as before the change?

Clicking enables mouse scrolling.
I like it!

<< <i>Thanks Heritage for bringing back picture scrolling, so I can use my mouse features. Any chance to make the upper left hand business smaller? The rectangular section does cover quite a bit of the coin picture. >>
Yep, that's already in the works.
