T206 Ty Cobb?

I am looking to purchase the green back version and think I missed a good deal last night. It only graded a PSA 2 but I believe that is due to the back. Is this card undergraded, and was the purchase price a good deal? Great eye appeal on the front with the centering etc. Trying to get a good feel on the market regarding this card. Here is the link and would appreciate any feedback.

    it has nice centering for the green back, they're usually oc. i think psa missed an ink spot on the back tho. for pricing trends check out cardtarget.com you can see a history of what it's sold for.

    A PSA 2 green Cobb typically is closer to $1,000, so the great eye appeal on this one likely caused it to go a bit higher. I think the price was fair - it may have been a $1,500 card on a different day, but it wasn't a steal at its $1,300 price.

    Typical PSA 2's are around $1,000 - $1,200, and a PSA 3 would be in the $1,500 - $2K range. It's an extremely popular card, so much like a '33G Ruth, you won't find it sneaking under the radar of anyone and selling for a big discount. Good luck in your search!

    You are correct. I thought I remembered more, but looks like they have two (a PSA 6 & PSA 7). And you're right - in that condition, they're not gonna go cheaply. Good luck with your search!

    There is a SGC 3 on ebay for 1595. Only 300 more than this 2. Its a buy it now so maybe you can save up for it.
    Prices change but the trend for this one is up I think.
