Is going....it is a pretty good show....and Floyd is going to be there, so should be really good.
  • +1 on Floyd being there, class act and a boatload of quality inventory.

Might go. but a friend of mine is setting up at a smaller show also being held this weekend, so I might just stay local.

I grew up in Greenville, and as much as I love B's BBQ there, I did make plenty of trips over to Ayden for the Skylight Inn. Awesome BBQ and those 2 places are neck-and-neck in my book for best BBQ in North Carolina.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

For those that are driving in, if you are driving up 85 make sure to stop off in Salisbury, NC for the best hamburger and hot dog ever. Hap's Grill is a Salisbury institution and many drive from hours away for a bite. It is considered one of the few remaining "lunch counters", so they do close at 3PM.

    ???
  • I went yesterday, Floyd wasn't there nor was Dragos, same old dealers with lots of shiny junk, getting there was a nightmare with the traffic related to the NC State graduation ceremony, lots of empty tables, poorly attended...really bad show. Feel bad for the out of town dealers, three days rent, hotels and meals (I heard that from quite a number of dealers).

I was there yesterday as well.....I plugged some holes in my 1959 Topps set to the point of near completion. Overpaid for those commons, but didn't mind as I want to complete the set badly. The graded stuff was very high priced as well. I walked away with one one graded card (a 1959 Topps Roger Maris PSA 6.5 for $80). The only thing higher than the prices I saw at the show are PWCC & Probstein's completed auctions! image
