I had something like that, but it may have been BEFORE Carew started his major League Career. DAMN I am old!

Man, Carew really had some amazing career. First two years he batted under .300. Next FIFTEEN YEARS he batted over .300 each year. Last 2 under .300.

As I recall mine didn't last too long. Was really cheaply made.

Yup, I had one. Mine would fall over when my pitch landed near the top of the net. Although many times I missed the pitchback entirely. image

Oh yeah! That's what I'm talking about. I had the pitch back as well. The Mattel baseball rocked but I was hugely addicted to the Mattel football. Awesome memories and great thread! BTW, I also remember playing Pong on a huge console television. I still tell people that's why parents originally had kids in the 50's - 70's - to be the family remote control to change between the three stations. image

    YES!

The football version was an upgrade since you could somewhat control the runner's direction; albeit up, down, and forward.

Had the pitch back myself and also the orange nerf football that left marks on the ceiling when thrown in the house. Dad wasn't happy with that one.

    Awesome Thread guys!

Had many of the items myself.

That "SuperToe" could knock out the windows!

The Mattel Electronic Football game was like a drug. Just could,t get enough of those bleepin red dashes!
