    If someone wants to put together a collection of pitchers with perfect games they'd have to add a Humber so it's not completely worthless.
    The 'stros should move the poor guy to the bullpen or the DL.

    That is very true. Other than that day it looks like he has had some trouble last year and this. INCLUDING his perfect game last April, he was 5-5 with a 6.44 ERA last year. This year, 0-7 with an 8.82 ERA.

    I'm a Rice U alum and I saw Humber pitch a number of times in college. Had great stuff back then, but it just never carried over to the big leagues. Sometimes it just doesn't translate, for whatever reason(s).

  • He was part of the pile of nothing that the Twins got for Johan Santana. I believe they got Carlos Gomez (who has value now but was awful as a Twin), Humber, one pitcher who had a cup of coffee only, and an 18 y/o pitcher who still hasn't made it & it's questionable if her ever will.

    As it turned out, given the finances involved the Twins still won that deal.
