Technically, not a card, but...

...I'm really stoked about this and can't wait for it to arrive and have it in hand. An 1894 Cabinet photo of Glenn Scobey Warner (better known by most as "Pop" Warner) of football fame, pictured while captain of the football team at Cornell. Notably, Warner won 4 national championships, coached Jim Thorpe while at Carlisle and against Knute Rockne and the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame while at Stanford.

That is a really cool item. And to think ... we have a football league named after him.

<< <i>Great pickup. Is it signed? The writing the front seems to begin with "best wishes". >>
It is not signed, but the inscription appears to read: "Best wishes for the girls in the sewing circle." Waiting until it is in hand to decipher whether it is "for" or "from" and doing some exemplar work to determine if written in Warner's hand. If it is, I will be very happy.
<< <i>Decent, although he did look like my grandmother. >>
Perhaps the reason that you resemble his granddaughter.
But I have promises to keep,
