Should I go for BBCE's 1990-93 Fleer football wax boxes or would it be a waste?

Hi, I couldn't help but notice all the fun everyone here is having with opening packs/boxes and even my wife got into the act too and got herself a 2013 Topps series 1 box from topps.com (in hindsight though we should always stick with hobby boxes; in any event the only half decent pull she got was a gold (# to 2013) common. image

Anyhoo, you guys know that I do complete sets and ideally I'd prefer to still do that regarding Fleer basketball/football. But at BBCE, he does have a wax box of each year of Fleer football (1990-93) and if I did my math right each one has more than enough to make a set right? Now obviously I could get sets one at a time on Feebay but that would incur extra shipping charges plus there's no telling if the seller truly sells quality merchandise and ships it to you right.

So what do you think? Should I go for BBCE's Fleer football boxes and take my chances on getting a set out of each or should I just hold off until someone can sell me all those sets at once? I definetly would get 1993 Ultra football set by itself though if someone had one (for 1992 Ultra I'm only one basketball insert set short of having master sets for all three major "-ball" sports) so that I can at least have all three regular 1993 Ultra sets. image

Also what are the odds of pulling an insert in each of those years? It's 1994 that Fleer and Ultra started doing an insert in every pack and if I'm not mistaken you were lucky if you got 3-4 inserts in the whole box of Fleer or Ultra prior to 1994?

I always liked 1990 fleer football. The design and card stock was by far the best product of 1990 IMO. Unfortunately there were no rookies and they produced roughly a trillion cases. The Fleer update Emmitt Smith is his best looking rookie IMO even though its not his most valuable. I don't know what fleer did in 1991 but those are prob my least favorite cards ever produced. Unless you are looking for inserts it would rob just be cheaper to buy the sets.

The Fleer football/b-ball sets are part of my focus, but are secondary to my true focus of collecting all their insert sets.
