WTB: Forensic research materials / books

I have been getting more and more into the forensics of numismatics (such as finding the exact mintage information or pedigree of a coin).

Any books, or other tools, which could help on a quest of this nature are of great interest to me. Do you have any books which discuss the history of a certain mint?

I am primarily a darksider, so feel free to sell me that book on the Heaton Mint of B'ham or what have you! image

There are annual reports from the Mint Director...check them out on Google, but most of the books themselves are not very expensive.

Edit to add: Pedigrees are more difficult, get the newest catalog in which a coin is featured and back-trace the pedigree. Many coins have been doctored and the pedigree data is not provided, so average people won't know what happened.

    Good Luck!!!

I've always wanted to have someone run a fingerprinted coin through AFIS to find the culprit image
