eBay problem - what to do?

I recently sold some cards on eBay for $17.99, which included S & H. Buyer paid by Paypal, and I shipped the cards. Then, while I was away from home for two weeks, buyer filed a case against me, saying he hadn't received the cards. I emailed him back, and asked that he give me a week until I got back home to check my delivery confirmations. When I found I was going to be away from home an additional week, I went ahead and refunded him through Paypal. Upon returning home last night, I checked my delivery confirmations and saw that the cards had been delivered to him before he opened the case. The case is now closed. Buyer hasn't responded to emails. Think I can get any help from eBay, or am I out the $17.99? Thanks for your input.
