Name a famous hoard

Can you name a famous hoard? I will start with 4 that come to mind.
1. Randall hoard of large cents--These were dated mostly from 1816-1820.
2. Redfield hoard of silver dollars.
3. In the late 1960's or early 1970's I can remember reading in coin world about a hoard of over 900 -1856 Flying eagle cents. I do not recall the name of the hoarder nor can I find anything on the internet about this hoard.
4. A few years ago there was a hoard released of 1844 dimes.

At some point during the Nineteenth century, Colonel Medes Cohen (1796-1879) of Baltimore acquired a large quantity of uncirculated specimens which he slowly sold off over a period of years. In 1952 Breen suggested Cohen found the halfpence in a government office in Annapolis then, later, in his Encyclopedia Breen stated Cohen had found a keg of the coins in Richmond sometime after the Civil War. In fact, nothing is known as to the quantity, location or date of the acquisition of these coins. We do know that in 1929 his descendants auctioned off all that remained of the find, some 2,200 coins. Several were in red mint condition but were either spotted or stained. Many of the halfpence were acquired by the dealer Waite Raymond and later resold.

200+ bags of various common dates $1 from the Continental Bank hoard
Various dates $1 from the NY Sub-Treasury in 1964 including bags of 1859-O, 1860-O. 1898-O and 1903-O Last two went from super rare to really common. Probably a few later other dates devastated as well

set aside a bag of each denomination (mm) each year from 1965 to the mid-'80'S. There will mostly
just be junk in the bags unless he made some effort to look for nicer coins but there will be some Gems
and some very desirable varieties in it.
Kansas City FED in 1986. This is improbable based on the evidence. The FED rotates the
oldest coins out of storage first so such old coins were unlikely in 1986 to have been in
storage. If they had so much backlogged it would probably have been shipped to another
FED rather than allowed to sit. Also the likelyhood of a Philly mint pallet in Kansas City is
not high because they distribute mostly Denver mint coins. Finally if these had come on the
markewt it would have simply devastated the value of BU rolls. The modern market is far
too small to even absorb a few bags far less an entire pallet. There was no collapse in roll
price.
My guess is that if there is any basis at all in the rumor they were '82-D's. If they started
selling them the price decreased almost immediately and the balance was placed in circu-
lation (or might still be out there). I'd sure like to see a sample of these to get a feel for
the ratio of type "c" to type "d" if they still survive.
