Best deals for unopened?

I've only been at it a few weeks but I'm really starting to love collecting unopened wax boxes.
I mainly collect Football so for now I've just been picking up Football boxes, but I wouldn't mind picking up a few boxes, packs, etc from other sport's as well.

If I wanted to spend $100-$200 on a wax box or even pack's any sport or year what are some of the best choices available in that price range?
All opinions welcome.

From what I could tell, it seems 1985 is popular and goes around $200. 1987 can be had around $60 while 1988 is around $20. I think those are all good. 1982 and 1983 should be in the range of $150-$200.

As far as new stuff. I dont know. I assume stuff with Peyton Manning or Tom Brady rookies will be up around those prices.

Sadly, $200 doesn't go very far in unopened these days.

I agree that 1985 Football might be the way to go. The PSA 10 Elway and other stars may continue to drive those boxes way up

I've been raiding my local card shop of its wax lately and just picked up

an 83 Topps Baseball wax box and an 83 Topps Football cello box for $200

Also picked up an 88 Topps Football 3 box rack case a coulple weeks ago with

some 81 Topps baseball grocery racks. Plenty of variety out there it is just finding it that is the problem

Careful if looking for 1978 and 79 wax especially!

    +1
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the PSA 10 collector he didn't exist.
