FSH-1913 Type I PCGS66/GOLD CAC Killer Rainbow Buffalo

DCWDCW Posts: 7,476 ✭✭✭✭✭
This is the most gorgeous buffalo nickel Ive ever seen, let alone had the chance to own. I purchased this from Coinraritiesonline last year, and I've personally spent a lot of time staring at this coin. Shifting it under the light and watching the colors come alive, wondering how in the hell PCGS ever gave it a lowly 66 grade. This American beauty is pristine. It also went gold at CAC, so I'm not alone in my belief that it is undergraded.

Some bills have come up, so I have it up for your consideration for what I paid: $1800.
Coins like these don't come around very often. Opportunity knocks for the type collector:

If I didn't already have a gorgeous and colorful 67 I'd be tempted by this one. Very nice.
My current coin collecting interests are: (1) British coins 1838-1970 in XF-AU-UNC, (2) silver type coins in XF-AU with that classic medium gray coloration and exceptional eye appeal.

OK, last bump before she heads back to the bank. I appreciate all the interest, but I won't mind hanging on to this one if it doesn't sell tonight.
    Thanks for looking!

Bump, as she came home from the bank for another deal that fell through.
Any takers before she is laid down to rest in the dark clutches of the vault?

Pretty coin, but I think your price is unrealistic. Good luck!

My asking price is the price I paid. Is that so unrealistic? Its a special coin worthy of the premium I paid and the premium I am subsequently asking.
Criticizing someone's BST post is very, very poor form. If you have a comment, PM me like every other courteous member here.
    Sorry for the bump...

image Alltheabove76 should not have said that publicly IMHO, just out of simple respect for a fellow coin collector. And I'm happy to give this one a image

Considering that it has a gold bean indicating at least a 67 in CAC's eyes; and considering that there is a 4X jump in retail price between 67 and 67+; and considering that there is an enormous jump in price in 68; and considering the one year type; and considering the great color; $1800 doesn't seem all that nuts to me. image

  • A super coin deserves a super price, well worth the $1800, can I have a year of interest free financing????
  • If I was a Buffalo man, I'd find a way on this one.
Let's try not to get upset.

Again, posting "advice" on someone's BST thread is poor form and completely unwarranted. Especially knocking the price. If you'd like to leave a pleasing comment as others have done, it is appreciated. If you want to let me know that I'm crazy for trying to sell this coin for the price I paid, that's OK too.

JUST USE THE PRIVATE MESSAGE OPTION.

Thanks, and this will be the last bump from me.
