. rim nick is negligible. nice woodgrain pattern! don't see why it wouldn't grade. doesn't appear recolored or cleaned and the crud in the dentils doesn't appear to be a problem from the images anyway .
I would try, and even if they give it a "genuine" (which I don't think they will) at least it'll be protected against future possible damage. I like to think of my slabs as protection first, and information second. I don't actively seek Genuine holders but I'm not embarrassed to say there's a couple in my Lighthouse albums.
Actual answer given to Bill Yates by PCGS customer service when he asked if they would slab early copper that was glossy from being brushed. (around 1997)
