Dinged corner

How much does that drop in grading, is it automatically lower than a 7?

Post a scan. Some are much worse then others.

Upper left corner is soft as well. Probably PSA 6 or less, depending on if there is chipping on the dinged lower right corner or not. I can't really tell from the scan.
  • I would say that, just out of the simple fact that it wont come back a 10 is basically enough to not warrant a submission. With new stuff (IMO) anything that comes back a 9 or less is at BV, at best. It is worth more raw. But with dinged or more than 1 soft corner, you are likely not more than an 8 and that looks like it would be a 6 or 7.

With one corner dinged/bent like you show, I've never received a grade higher than a 6 even when everything else about the card meets the conditions for a higher grade.

What if it's a dinged corner that's only visible if you hold it up to the light? Those of you who have one of these will know what I'm talking about.

I agree that it isn't worth submitting. I think it would get a 6 at best.
  • PSA 5 would be my guess.

  • If all four corners looked like the top two, I think it would be an 8.5.

I consider dings to be like the top two, especially for a modern card. The bottom right is beyond a ding. It's a dung.
  • thanks guys, was contemplating submitting it but na ill just hold onto it.

I just checked EBAY to see what kind of price range this card sells for and I see that one sold a month back for less then $10 and looked to be nice and sharp.

After searching a little further I see there is an active listing at $10.35 that appears to be this exact card.

Unless there is some new development that has altered the trading range on this card I think I would pass on buying it if indeed it is the card listed on EBAY and wait for a better copy.

In terms of the grade I could see this in a PSA 5 holder.

I also see this card sitting in a 5 or 5.5 slab.
