Issues breaking Jeter rookies from Stadium Club Murphy sets?

Seeing the prices of the Murphy set Jeter in PSA10 makes this pretty appealing. Has anyone broke these recently?

Concerns is, 20 years old set of glossy stadium club pressed together. Do I have any chance of breaking this damage free? Anyone have experience doing this they can share. I suspect major surface loss issues, thanks

  • I haven't done it but I've heard that putting the bricks of stuck together cards in the freezer for a while helps with separating them.

Busted 8 sets and the highest grade I received was an 8. Some of the sets stuck together like a brick and others came right apart. The Jeter is in the same spot, so once you learn where it is the cracking out is easier. Probably could have cleaned some of mine up with pantyhose or something, but my recommendation if you want the card is to just buy a PSA 9 or 10 instead of spending the money to crack them out.

  • It's a losing proposition to crack and sub. Freezing them wont birth a 10.
