Todays Garage/Estate Sale finds

Had a few hours to kill a bit away from the house today while my daughter was skating, so my son and I hit a bunch of garage/estate sales.

First item was at a packed house full of odd items. It was an older woman who had died and the house was SO full of stuff...dolls, african art..all sorts of things I knew nothing about (no sports stuff). I saw this all metal bank at $20 and took a shot. I thought for sure it would be worth a lot. Of course I should have checked ebay first.....very common and they sell for right about what I paid. The upside is its very cool looking, works great and my 12 year old loves it.

At a small garage sale nearby another older woman had some framed horse racing posters. 2 were just posters and not interesting, but these 3 were signed. She explained her husband had passed away a year ago and he had a room full of horse racing items. It was all in storage and these were the only ones she had brought out. They used to go to the races and have the Jockeys sign them. They are poster frames so I already took one out with no issues. Not my sport, but neat items. I should have given her my number to try to buy the rest. I may have to go back as I know where it is and go past there several times a week.
