I have spent the better part of 25+ years looking for a 1953 Southern Rhodesia Crown in high grade; the results- PR66+ CAM

KM #27. Mintage of 1,500 pieces. According to Numismaster there is also a matte proof, for which no mintage figure is given, but Numismaster values at 2.5X the regular proof.

I've never seen one in the wild.

That's an unusually long tail on the letter "Q". I'm curious, did any other Commonwealth countries use the title Queen on their coins?

Yes it's been done, but I agree the tail is unusually long. Here's a modern [2010] example from Tuvalu:

Thank you all for your comments; 'Colonel: Thanks for posting the picture for me! Cocoinut: In 1953, as part of the Coronation, Crowns were struck by SAF, NZ, GB, and Rhodesia. This now completes the crown collection. Grades as follows:

1953 SAF Crown PR66CAM (top pop-3)
1953 NZ Crown PR66DCAM (top-pop-1)
1953 RH Crown PR66+CAM (top-pop-1)
1953 GB Crown PR65CAM .....I have a specimen away at PCGS that should come back 65DCAM (fingers crossed!)
