Show us your CICF wins

I actually did very well I thought, I went 4 for 4, 3 German States and the W&M tin halfpenny in an earlier post. The two Bavaria pieces I went after were mid grade but I like the type of toning they have and both went below estimate. The Hamburg piece is pretty darn scarce.

1775 Bavaria 1/2 Taler in 63:

1778 Bavaria Taler in 63:

1807 Hamburg Dreiling (3 pfennig) off metal strike in gold. These are pretty scarce so you can't really wait for a pretty one to show up, that might never happen.

I grabbed lot 25196. Yay! I'm using my iPad, so can't really post any images. I'm also flying to Chicago tomorrow early morning. Very cold there compared to NYC metro area (heat wave).

Inspired by a recent Brent (Worldcoinguy) purchase - I bought this work of art in an Italian Piastra.

Yes, lost focus. Per Brent and auction records this one is a scarce type depicting Jesus on a boat with the apostles calming the storm. Obverse features Innocent XI.

    Thanks, Zohar!

Edited to add: I hope the coin looks as nice in hand as in the image.

Nice piastra, Zohar! Personally, that's my favorite design from the whole series.

I also won lot 25614, a Zurich 1/2T in 64. Love the design.

For both of the lots that I won, I was the only bidder. I'm a bit surprised by the lack of interest in them. Perhaps it was the high reserves against their pre-sale estimates, except I think the Netherlands 3Gul wasn't reserved.

If you compare my 3Gul price to the list price of a comparable ($2850) on a prominent dealer's site, I'm quite happy.

Great Innocent piastre Zohar. I've got the same scene on medals, but don't have one of the piastres. Hope this doesn't become a habit for you!

    Congrats!
