I'd contact the National Baseball Hall of Fame library. They could tell you if one exists and even sell you a copy if it does.

<not the gift shop; the library>

Since the photo would have to be from 1954, 55, or 56, what other African-American players were on the Braves those years. If there were no others besides Hank Aaron, then that has to be Hank Aaron in the picture.

    Just checked Braves history,

Jethroe was there during those years.

Jim Pendleton was also on the Braves at that time.

I see no record of Aaron playing in Boston, i.e. the hat he's wearing. Doug

Sam Jethroe might be the winner.

Hank has some guns in that pic.

No wonder he hit so many home runs.

best stat on Hank is that if you would "erase" the 755 home runs he hit from his statistics, he STILL would have over 3000 career hits

    very, very underrated

Hall of Famer, the Home Run King, all time great.

How in the heck is he "very, very underrated"?

What should be done differently to properly "rate" him?

If you did that, what would change in Aaron's rating?

That is definitely Sam Jethroe. Note the "B" on the cap.

I did a google search also and that exact same picture popped up. Looks like someone really thought it was him and probably still does image..I knew something didnt look right. I did contact the Hall of fame and am waiting for a response to see if there are any pictures of them together out there. Hopefully I can get my hands on one
