Shipcover inusurance or usps insurance?

just started using Ebay shipping labels/postage for my sales, thanks to these Boards.image However, up until today they have all been relatively low dollar sales ($5 - $25). I just sold a couple for about $60, and I noticed there are 2 options for insurance- ship cover insurance which is about .75 less than usps for these items. Which route should I go? thanks, Tom

  • Shipcover cheaper for <$100
    USPS cheaper for >$100

That being said I rarely will insure any item under $100.

ShipCover is easy and they pay. I have a friend, however, that has been cut off from ShipCover with little explanation. Ebay will not allow (no option available) him to use the service any longer. He called and they told him that they periodically review accounts and he is no longer eligible. I believe he had 6 claims over the course of 2 years with 5/6 being lost international packages. They informed him that he would never be eligible for the service again.
  • USPS. But IMO it is a waste of money to insure a $60 package.
