It is most similar to the drop in September '11. Breaking through so many support levels it could get ugly.

I picked a bad time to go away (Europe!) for 5 weeks. Though it will save me from staring at the screen trying to time my big purchase. I'll probably hang off on buying any meaningful amount until I return... Unless something local pops up image

It was less than 5 years ago that Ag fell to $9 and Au was $700.

I was buying then. I was also buying at $15 and $1000. And at $19 and $1200.

Sure looks like that $19 and $1200 buying opportunity will be coming around again. image

I have seen many things that can knock down the price of gold. I still haven't seen anything keep it down.

I agree, if it does fall to $1200, it won't stay there long.

This drop sure makes things more interesting. Seems like only last week we were talking about trading in a tight zone for years to come.......

........wait a minute! That was just last week!

Typical panic, it could be a wild ride the next couple of years. All the silver I have stacked is long term, 10 plus years so I am not worried.
