The American Silver Eagles are sold from the mint in what is called a Monster box. These monster boxes have 500ea 1oz Silver American Silver Eagles.

With what is going on, the only real deals are in quantity, they can still be had for $3 over spot per oz when buying in a monster box (Currently about $13,100). The problem is, many of us do not have that much sitting around in expendable money.

A few years ago there was a guy on here that would buy a monster box a year and then break up the box and sell them on here (passing on the savings).

I can buy a couple of rolls as well. If I had the cash, I would have bought a box and split it up on here. This past month, I spent a ton of money on PMs so I'm running low on cash. I'm interested in splitting any kind of silver.

The phone message gets routed to them through email and they take very long to respond. I've done business with them before and didn't have any issues. It was just scary that I couldn't reach them via phone or email.

  • Bronco, have you dealt with Bullion Direct in the past? Good company? Quick response on shipping?

    Thanks in advance

I got stuck with 3 rolls out of two monster boxes bought approx. 6 weeks ago. Here's what sucks, the lost on three rolls that I have left will wipe out nearly half the profit I made on two boxes.

I sent in a lot of roll searching 40% finds and sold them on nucleo a few years ago. I sold them gradually and bought gold with the money and it played out over a few months time. When I had what I wanted I took shipment all at once.

I wasn't in a hurry so to speak, they aren't known for over the top customer service , you get your stuff though. If you can handle dealing with tulving you should be ok with them.

I never ordered a monster box in the middle of a market tornado thoughimage

Anyone deal with National Coin Brokers? Here is the banner ad but I can't find the offer on the website...

called National, they said the ad was from last month. I'm interested to hear if anyone has dealt with them before I add them to my "source" list.

They seem a little shady to me.
  • I think all the U.S. Mint's bullion dealers are out of Eagles. I suppose demand skyrocketed when Arizona declared silver legal tender. One can now settle debts with Eagles at bullion value, yes? Just imagine buying eagles at $29 today and silver goes up to $40 - you can pay your bills with $40 eagles and not pay state capital gains tax for doing so.
