Nice medal! If I'm reading my reference correctly, the original wax model for the reverse is also still in existence, in the collection of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.

Still, how many equestrian designs are detailed enough to show you the horse's teeth? Wow.
That's a really, really awesome piece. Is it contemporary to 1700, or a later (say, 19th century) restrike?
