Off center

Every once in a while, I'll search "PSA 9 OC" or PSA 8 OC" on eBay. It's a good way to pick up some bargains (maybe one out 10 passes the eye appeal test for me). Just picked up this nice 1970 Luis Aparicio (PSA 9 OC) for $7.40.

It's nice not being addicted to the registry drug isn't it? imageimage

    Nice looking Aparicio image
  • Great looking card despite the centering.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the PSA 10 collector he didn't exist.

  • I like 9OC. You get a mint card as long as you don't mind the centering.

Mapleleaf: Agreed. Befiore the days of third party grading, I don't think people paid that much attention to centering. I will take four sharp corners (on a card, not the seller of PSA 10 cards) over perfectly centered every time.

  • I've been doing this more and more. I sold a nice 9 of Brett rookie I wish I had back.
70 and 71 are great for 9 oc. Nice pick up.

I'm not too hung up on centering if the card has nice color and corners.
