Collectors Universe Auctions

Anyone remember when collectors universe ran an auction site? I think pcgs bought the auction site then shut it down during company consolidation...with all the eBay hate out there I think they CU could annihilate eBay and make a ton of money for the stockholders by bringing it back.

Doesn't Beckett do this. I think I recall an article where you can sub your cards, they grade them and then sell them for you via auction.

Yes, it was called Superior Auctions. Chris Porter was the director or other important player in it. He now runs SportsLinkAuctions.

With eBay's problems you are seeing more and more small auction houses crop up that are the same price and much easier to deal with Love of the Game, Sterling, Joe's Vintage Card Auctions have all been started relatively recently.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
