    I'd put Pujols a little higher...JMHO

Glad to see Hamels on the list

Yepper...that would be theeee Detroit Tigers. What this means is that if they struggle at all to win the title in the worst division in the A.L., then one of more of the following is true:

    (1) The rest of the team is really bad.
    (2) Jim Leyland did a poor job.
    (3) The popular, big number stats are over-rated.

Actually it was the Angels with 3 of the top 11 with Trout, Pujols, and Hamilton.

    LOL article. No Bryce Harper
Tallulah Bankhead — 'There have been only two geniuses in the world. Willie Mays and Willie Shakespeare.'

Trout? I'd put him at 5 or 6 until he can show he can keep up that production beyond one season.
    Should be Verlander

Trout should probably be closer to the bottom of the top 10 at best. Pujols at 9? Tough crowd. Beltre's putting together a HOF resume.

I also thought that putting Trout at number one ... after less than a full season ... was a bit high.

It's stunning to me that Kershaw is 11th. He can't possibly be worse than 5th. There's an argument that he's been every bit as good as Verlander the past two seasons and shows no sign of slowing down (first two starts this season - 0 Runs 0.44 WHIP)

^^ Gotta agree that Kershaw is looking underrated right now......
  • IMHO the actual difference between numbers 1-20 is statistically insignificant but fun to argue. I must say both the Angel's and Tiger's line-ups look formidable. Also, I totally discount the Giants because I believe that they are the 2012 version of the Canseco/McGwuire Athletics! Yah I said it! You can write it down! image
