More China hype. Yawn.
I am going on 2 calendar months for a Regular submission. And the coins are regular, catalogued issues, not even coins that require special research.
If PCGS could improve turnaround times by half, they would be able to generate more revenue without any new offices. Personally, I'm not going to submit another batch of coins until the current one is processed and back in my hands.

Hoard the keys.
<< <i>60 days is a long time, I'm in the same boat i have 5 others sub and all are over due. My 5 day EXPRESS is on 10 working day now with no grades and when they do get back let see if they are right or even close with all the new eyes they have grading now. >>
I'm worried. I've been noticing some significant difference in quality in 8 Reales in blue gradient slabs certified recently.

That is to be expected as people send in coins of all levels of quality to PCGS.
I think my comment above regarding the opening of a new PCGS office to serve the "Asian market" wasn't sufficiently clear.
The new office is in Shanghai, China. I can say with almost absolute certainty that NO Asian collector or business outside of China (i.e. Japan, Taiwan, or South Korea) will send their coins to China to be graded.
So, marketing hype aside, this new office will not serve Asia. It will serve China, and perhaps only Shanghai. (I don't know how comfortable Chinese collectors feel sending coins through the post within China.)
As for having a Chinese business partner, this was probably required by law. But that would serve as an additional disincentive for Asians to send in coins to this office. How many Chinese businesses do you trust?

I don't have a problem with it but that seems to be the feelings around here.
