PSA 10 1986 Panini Tyson, PSA 10 DS Chipper, PSA 10 Procards Maddux and several PSA 10 Tiffany Issue

I have had my eye on the Maddux Minor League card and happened to check out the sellers other auctions...needless to say I was quite surprised to see how many high grade, hard to find rookie issues were up for auction. I know that the Tyson has been hot and some may already be aware. It is nice to see auctions without any bidders with zero feedback. image

Am I looking at that page correctly, and those are all recent auctions from one seller?
It looks like he used 20 different scanners, cameras, photo angles, and backgrounds

Checked his FB, the guy obviously delivers. Strange, though

I noticed that too, of course it all made sense when I found this in the Murphy description. image

On Apr-03-13 at 17:55:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
Attached is scan of card back per request (apologize for different angle - my wife took the photo as I'm out on business)
  • What's the consensus on this seller? Seems to be selling a lot of tough high grade cards at once.

I took a look at his previous auctions and he deals mainly in tougher issues, all PSA 10, so he seems quite legit. I came across a 1982 TCMA Tony Gwynn PSA 10 as well as another Desert Shield Chipper PSA 10, so this is not new territory for him. IMO, the 1986 Italian Tyson that is currently up for auction is a lower 10 based on the centering. The example that was up before this one was better centered and quite deserving of the Gem Mint grade.

I picked up a 1977 Andre Dawson RC from this seller last year. The card was as advertised and he delivered quickly. I think you can bid with confidence, though I only speak from my one experience

48 hours after initial request, still haven't received a follow up note or any pictures. This guy is selling a PSA 10 DS Chipper (1 of 10) and only has 1 photo posted and its a terrible one at that with glare covering 2 of the corners. Who does that on a $3500-$5000 card? I've asked the guy twice for additional photos, with no response. I view these auctions as very questionable and doubt whether this guy actually has the cards in his possession.

    1991 Mike Tyson

He is using a scan from a Probstein auction and it first glance I thought that might be a red flag but he did indeed win the card in January.

This seller is terrible with emails.

I get the feeling he is just lazy.

I won a lot of auctions from this guy today but like everyone else I can't get a hold of him. I started digging a little further in his feedback. I don't know what the story is but it looks like he was out of reach for a while and eventually made most of them right.

Good luck. I think you should be fine. If you look at his buying feedback he is quite active so you know he is at least buying the cards.

Some people just have terrible communication skills and hopefully he is just one of them.

Nice pick ups ergoism! You have something special with the Chipper, I just don't see too many more PSA 10s being added in years to come.

I had trouble messaging the seller as well, as I tried to let him know the 2 Ripken Traded PSA 10s that he had listed had the the same cert #'s. I am almost positive this was an oversight and it is an overposting, but he didn't react in time.

You'll have to let us all know what the Chipper card actually looks like. I couldn't bid on a card where 1/3 of the card in the picture was covered by glare and no back photo was provided. If it was a centered card with no print marks, I'd probably have been around $4750ish. Seller is a bum and lost money because of his laziness. Good for him.

Seller just responded to my 3rd email (several hours after the auction had ended).

    My question: Dear mgsinisc,
Please post more photos. I'd like to be your winning bidder for this card, but I cannot accurately assess the card with the 1 photo you've provided, and will not be bidding without further photos. This is my 3rd request. Thanks, Michael.

Mgsinisc's response (several hours after the auction was over: "sold - it is a psa 10 gem mint, flawless"

Seller thinks that his PSA 10's are beyond question and that no one needs to see pictures....they flawless... LOL.

  • Still not quite sure if this guy is legit? Any new info regarding this guys lack of communication. He is still unloading some quality cards!

I will have to give him a try on an active auction with some time left. He has some really nice cards back up for auction, I hope a few stay in my range when the dust settles!

I'm pretty sure he is legit. I spoke with him on the phone today and he was very detailed and professional. I guess he's just slow at replying to eBay messages. When I return from this cruise in a week I'll post a high res scan of the Chipper.

Congrats on winning that auction. Appears to be a great card.

Thanks. Hopefully a beauty is hidden behind those glares in the scan.
