Inquiry on how SNIPE works

If someone places a snipe on an auction that ends up with no actual bids, would a black whole swallow up the earth or what would happen with the snipe bid.

Wouldn't the snipe win at the opening bid?

A snipe is an actually bid that is entered by a BOT/app/program, usually with 3-5 seconds left in bidding.
  • It still would win at the opening bid, wether it's a person or a bot.
