Ebay's Global Shipping Program

This looks like a good thing. I do not ship internationally simply because I want to be protected as a seller. It costs out the wazoo to pay for delivery confirmation, even to Canada. Now, all a seller has to do is to ship every international item to a centralized US shipping center located in Connecticut.

I am thinking about joining up for this. My main question is - how do I change all of my listings to reflect the Global Shipping Program? Maybe once I enroll, it automatically does it. Not sure.

Discuss.

It does NOT automatically enroll you for auctions that you have going on. I found that out the fun way.

If you are selling cards, I'd personally wait until the auction ends and then when you relist, make the change then.

I've only had one experience with the Global Shipping and it went smoothly.

I enrolled earlier this week, but...

I'd like to know how much it costs. Do I just pay for shipping to CT or do I pay for shipping to Canada, but without tracking. The second option makes sense to me, but USPS needs to be able to know to ship it to CT. I want to know more details, their description is pretty vague.

was discussed a couple of weeks ago on here.....
  • You pay for the shipping to the US point (if you charge shipping for US, the buyer pays that amount.) The seller pays the import fees and shipping to Canada as well (I think). I have tried this, but the shipping and import fees the buyer must pay is high. For example, I sold an item for $30. The Buyer ended up paying $57.59 for the item with shipping & handling and import charge..

Are your DSR scores protected from a "1". It seems if they are not then it is just another way for ebay to weed out the little guys. I can't imagine anyone being happy paying 90% more because of a shipping charge, levied by ebay.

Item is free ship within US, so I automatically get a 5 for shipping.
